Kyoto University of Advanced Science features an engineering program that is closer to the manufacturing industry than ever before, in a country that is globally acclaimed for its engineering ingenuity. Constructing a team of internationally distinguished faculty members and active professional engineers, KUAS Faculty of Engineering (KUAS Eng) was established in 2020. KUAS Eng focuses on the technology that will help shape our future— ranging from electric vehicles to drones, robots, AI machinery, motor-related solutions, power generation systems and much more.

State-of-the-art technology is essential to providing state-of-the-art education. With this in mind, KUAS has created a trailblazing program that has the ultimate goal of equipping our students with the immediate real-world skills needed to best function in the modern world of engineering. Specializing in the field of mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics technology, KUAS Eng offers an outside-in approach that aligns with current industry trends, allowing our students the opportunity to work with real engineers in Kyoto’s full-fledged, flourishing manufacturing industry. Upon graduation, KUAS Engineering graduates will be able smoothly transition into work at world-renown companies and institutions not only in Japan, but across the globe
